360 Ollie Heel Flip is another trick on the raster that is very difficult to learn and can take a tremendous amount of time to get it right. It can be done either in front side or in back side, therefore, you can also call it Front Side 360 Heel Flip or Back Side 360 Heel Flip. It means you are doing 360 Ollie with a heel flip and today we will describe how to do the Back side 360 Ollie Heel Flip.
Again we have to say that you should first learn how to do a perfect Backside 360 Ollie and a perfect heel flip `cause this is the only way you can understand what it takes to mix those 2 together. It also helps to try bs heel flip first but not necessary. Once you can perfectly imagine what to do, you are ready to give it a try!
Set your feet into a back side 360 ollie position but because you will need to add a strong flick put your front foot in the center of the board with your toes hanging a bit over for easier heel flippin`. The most important issue with this trick is the timing of your flick as in most cases you will probably flick too early and the board won’t spin the right way. Pop into back side rotation and once you reach 90 start with your heel flip flick pretty strong. It will take some time before you get the timing right but once you are able to send a board into heel flip rotation you are almost there. You should catch a Heel Flip before the complete bs 360 rotation is done as it will look better as well you will roll away easier when landing.
You will probably fight the pain in your hips after the first tries but it is worth it. If you feel like you can’t really get it and you don`t want to miss the 360 heel flips, you can also try front side 360 heel flip if you are more comfortable with front side 360 spin. The flick also comes more naturally when in front side rotation so maybe you find it easier but remember both are super difficult to pull off perfectly. If you believe in yourself enough, you should upload your first 360 heel flip on youtube next week!
