How to 360 Ollie Kickflip (with Images) – Skateboard Tricks

360 Ollie Kickflip is again the trick that can be done in both rotations, so front side or back side and they are both on the highest level of flatground tricks. The back side 360 Ollie Kickflip is more common as is a bit easier to learn for most skateboarders and that’s why we can also see it over massive gaps and stair sets while the frontside version is not that common even in the game of skate.

Anyhow, we decided to try to get you to pull off the front side version because it will give you a great advantage while playing a game of skate with your buddies + we know a cheat trick to get you there earlier 🙂

So, don’t even try it before you have either perfect front side kickflip or a perfect front side 360 as those are the basics for this combination.

If you are very comfortable with front side 360 rotation you can go and add a kick flip right away. Set your feet the same way as you do for the fs 360 Ollie and then move your front foot slightly more to the center and move your heel a bit off the board so that you control your board mostly with toes. This will help you send the board into a flip rotation much easier, still can make your board slips away so you will have to finally adjust it after a few tries. As with every 360 spin you need to throw your shoulders into a front side rotation at the same time as you pop and remember that shoulders should always lead the direction.

Add a slight flick just when you reach 90 so that you have enough time to make a complete turn,.. Again – timing is crucial so you will need to figure it out by yourself. When you understand the complete movement you can go for landing where you should try to catch the board with your front foot first. This will help you lead the board until you roll away.

Anyhow, if this is too difficult for you, you can try to cheat a little bit,.. Make sure your front side kickflips are solid. When you feel comfortable enough you can try to land it on your back truck and make an additional spin once your back leg already landed. This doesn’t look that good and you won’t be able to do stair sets this way but after all, this is skateboarding, and everything that makes you feel good about it counts!
